RESPONSIBILITY

Compliance management is at the heart of most things that we do, if our job description involves the health and safety of other people.

It is important to have a system in place that records all the information and responsibilities for each step in that process:

> Education and training (awareness).

> Evidence based assessments (field inspections).

> OH&S and Water quality Auditing (regulations).

> Project solutions (fixing the problem).

> Process evaluation and data management (has it worked?).

ASAM R/T provides evidence that these essential processes are being carried out.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Top priorities include:

> Security of the tank site.

> Contamination entering the tank.

> Safety to personnel working in the area.

Modern communities will not tolerate problems caused by poor management and contamination of the water supply.

If the tank conditions are poor, it is only a matter of time before a serious health threat occurs, leading to media and regulator interest in the issue.

RECORD KEEPING

With regulators moving towards a ‘chain of responsibility’ scenario in the sharing of compliance management outcomes, auditors will look for an ‘evidence trail’ and if an individual or organization has poor record keeping or has neglected to carry out their nominated responsibilities, then ‘the buck’ will most likely stop with them!

ASAM R/T not only stores information, it can collate an entire reservoir history and set benchmarks reflecting best management practice.
